What Happens During The Process?
The appointment normally begins with a cleaning that is performed by a licensed hygienist. The hygienist carefully removes any tartar from the teeth before flossing and polishing. Once this is done, the gums are checked for any and all signs of gum disease. The doctor then comes in and performs an examination to check for cavities, issues with restorations, and even oral cancer. The entire appointment should take less than an hour in our office.
